NewSpring

This past month Perry has been doing a lot of specific salvation messages. I love the fact that he teaches you straight from the Bible and has scripture to back everything up. I love the fact that Lee and Justin pray over every song that they play every Sunday. I have been at NewSpring since it first started and I can say that these guys truly seek Christ in everything they do. In this past month I have had 5 friends accept Christ at NewSpring that out of a little over 800 people who met Christ this month. This past Sunday, I had one of my closest friends admit to me during the sermon that God had been knocking on his heart for years and years and then when Perry gave the invitation he stood up before I could blink. I know that our methods are different and I know that we play really loud music, but I personally see Christ changing lives daily, and Christ wasn’t one to follow the rules either. The volunteers are phenominal and the church would not be able to run without them. The staff work their butts off to make sure that every Sunday is glorifying to God and that they strive for excellence. The children are waking the parents up because they want to go to church. We have youth bringing their parents to church and they get on fire for Jesus and so on. I am so thankful to be a part of a church that is all about Jesus and reaching other for Jesus. Being able to see the change in my friends lives remind me why we do what we do, and why we do it the way we do.

Thank you Perry, Lee M, Justin, Karla, Sherry, Tony, Jake, Pudge, Cherie, Shane, Lanna, LB, Ken, Jason M, Jason W, Jack, Kelly R, Kelly H, RoseAngela, Ryan, Jon M, Gizz, Lindsay T, Lindsay O, Ragan, Paul, Beth, Jamie, Matt Y, Matt B, Katie, Josh M, Jared B, Jennifer, Lee B, Michael, Allen, Jon C, Joel, Jared R, Shanna, Alden, Brad, John, Judith, Howard, Sandy, Tom, Andrea, Daniel, Caroline, DJ, Blaire, Julie, Kim, Amanda, David, Rachel, Will, Kirstie, John F, Sydney, Meredith, Joe, Andrew, Tommy, Tyler, Kelly W, Sam, Jeremy, and the rest of the incredible staff/people that make Sunday happen. I know I did not get everyone, and I am sorry but thank you too!!!!! I want you to know that what you do every Sunday make a DIFFERENCE in lives.

To my incredible Greenville girls/guys home groups, a girl could not ask for a better group of friends. Thank you for loving Christ and letting it show through to others. I have watched you love on others as soon as they walk in the door and make them feel welcomed. I have watch you love on each other when a tragedy has happened in someones life. That is what the church is all about. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with a church that is willing to go out of the box to reach others!

Isaiah 54:10

Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Phone Died

Hello all,
So my phone died today and I lost all of my numbers, so if you would be so kind and send those to me so that I will have them I would appreciate it!
Angela

I am VERY HAPPY!!

Got this in my email yesterday, and if you know me at all this made me extremely happy!

You’ve waited patiently and your waiting has paid off!  On June 26th, Marc Broussard will be releasing S.O.S.: Save Our Soul, an 11 song tribute to the soul music he was brought up on – the 11th song is a Marc original!  “I want to take what was beautiful and right about old-school soul and make it alive again,” Marc said about the album.  Starting today, you will be able to stream “You Met Your Match” on Marc’s myspace page and we will be adding new tracks every so often until the release.  Very soon we will go on presale through Marc’s online store, so look for an email in the next few weeks with further details.  Marc will tour this summer in support of this new release and we will send all the detail once we have them.  The full track listing for the new cd is as follows:

1)  You Met Your Match (Stevie Wonder)
2)  If I Could Build My Whole World Around You (Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell)
3)  Harry Hippie (Bobby Womack)
4)  Let the Music Get Down In Your Soul (Rance Allen)
5)  I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know (Donny Hathaway)
6)  Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler) (Marvin Gaye)
7)  Love and Happiness (Al Green)
8)  I’ve Been Loving You Too Long (Otis Redding)
9)  Respect Yourself (The Staple Singers)
10)  Yes We Can, Can (Allan Toussaint)
11)  Come In From The Cold (Marc Broussard/Justin Tocket/Radney Foster)

This is a must-have cd for fans of Marc as well as anyone who loves old school soul.  We hope you enjoy the album as much as Marc and his band enjoyed making it!
